Empowering Women in Technology

Women in Technology of Tennessee

Outreach Committee

In 2006 Women in Technology of Tennessee increased it support and outreach to the community and participated in the following programs:

  • T.W.I.S.T.E.R. – Tennessee Women In Science Technology Engineering and Research. This event is open to all high school girls interested in learning more about these fields and is held annually at the Adventure Science Center.
  • WorkNashville Job Fair – WiTT offered resume critique at the job fair.
  • CITE After School program – WiTT participated as the business partner of Glencliff HS to talk to girls about the Skills of the 21st century.

Both the Job Fair and After School program were new this year and WiTT was really excited to participate and expand its reach in those programs.

The Outreach Committee will help promote the association and its mission through the outreach program.

The role of the Outreach Committee will be:

  • plan, participate and enroll volunteers in the different Outreach Programs.
  • expand WiTT’s outreach in the community

The Outreach Committee will meet monthly over the phone or in-person for updates prior to the monthly Board meetings where progress will be reported. The monthly time commitment for this committee can be as little as a couple of hours.

Women in Technology of Tennessee has launched two new committees in 2007.

WiTT encourages all of you to take pride in our association and join one of the two committees and help fulfill our mission.

Please contact Elise Cambournac by calling 615.351.9214 or email outreach@wittn.org if you are interested in joining the Development Committee or the Outreach Committee.
