Eighth ATHENA Scholarship added, Application Deadline extended...

The Nashville ATHENA Award Program is extremely pleased to announce that an additional eighth financial award has been added to its 2012 Scholarships for women. Due to the addition of the eighth financial award, the deadline for applying to all Scholarships has been extended until Monday, December 5, 2011. Complete rules and general information about the ATHENA Scholarship process, including the scholarship application and directions regarding the essay, are posted on the ATHENA website at www.NashvilleATHENAAwards.org.

Apply for Scholarships By January 20, 2012

Apply to Win a College Scholarship from WITT Women in Technology in Tennessee offer a $2500 and a $1000 scholarship to girls planning to pursue science or technology career.

Applicants must complete an essay and include transcripts, letters of recommendation, and other requirements outlined in the application. The deadline to receive the complete application packet with all requirements enclosed is January 20, 2012. Students must be registered with TWISTER to participate. Students must be in 12th grade to apply.

WITT encourages high school girls to consider a technology career by offering scholarships to female high school seniors pursuing a degree in technology during the Adventure Science Center's
