Topic: "Evolving Music in the Digital Age"

Music is an ever evolving form of self expression that is available almost anywhere, anyplace and anytime in a variety of formats. This evolution will be described and discussed along with a vision of where the future may lead.

As Assistant Vice President, Information Technology, Camellia Petty is responsible for all Application Systems and Database Administration within Broadcast Music, Inc. She also oversees Business Intelligence, Royalty Distributions, Licensing, Affiliate related systems for Song Writers and Publishers, International systems, and Imaging Technology efforts.

With 26 years of Information Technology experience, Camellia joined the BMI Information Technology department in 1995 as Project Manager and was promoted to her current role in 1999. Prior to BMI, she was Business Systems Manager at Schneider Electric and worked as an IT professional for several Middle Tennessee retailers and manufacturers. Camellia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cumberland University (Lebanon, Tennessee) and an Associate of Science degree from Nashville State Technical Institute. Camellia is a member of the Nashville CIO Council and a Nashville Technology Council Board member with recent speaking engagements for Oracle and Gartner.

Since lunch is being catered, we must have an RSVP in order to guarantee enough food. You are welcome to attend without an RSVP, however we cannot guarantee that lunch will be available.
