2004 Athena Award — WiTT becomes involved with the Nashville chapter

WiTT became very involved this year with the Nashville chapter of the Athena Award.  The ATHENA Award program in Nashville is widely recognized as one of the most unique and successful ATHENA International Events anywhere in the world.  The ATHENA Award is considered Nashville’s highest award of recognition for the achievements of professional women.

Over thirty women's organizations from throughout the community work together organizing the ATHENA Award, an annual event held each year since 1991 at the foot of Athena’s statue in Nashville’s Centennial Park. This year WiTT nominated Theresa Markum. Colleen Grissom served as one of the 25 judges for the event. Colleen Grissom and Linda Pannock served on the Athena Scholarship Committee.
