The $1,000 scholarship sponsored by WiTT’s Corporate Partner, Asurion, was awarded to Morgan Hosay, a senior at Harpeth Hall School. Hosay plans to major in Molecular and Cellular Biology and is in the process of deciding on a university.
“As a Corporate Partner, Asurion is proud to support WiTT and their work to empower women in technology through education, outreach, mentoring and networking. Careers in science, engineering, technology and math offer tremendous opportunity to change and improve the lives of people around the world, and we are pleased to see such a strong interest in these fields from so many young women in Tennessee. Congratulations to all the applicants of this year’s Twister Scholarship,” said Barry Vandevier, Chief Technology Officer, Asurion.

WiTT / Lipscomb Mentoring Program
WiTT is working with Lipscomb to develop an enduring mentoring program. We are looking for professional women who work in the IT space to partner up with a female student from Lipscomb who is pursuing a degree and soon a career in the same or similar field you work in. We currently have eight female students interested in this exciting opportunity!
The commitment would be approximately one meeting per month with your mentee. There will be topics provided to help drive conversation, but really it is you providing an opportunity to a young woman who is attending Lipscomb with the hope of a career in the IT realm. This is a great way to help encourage women to pursue a career path in Technology. Please contact Blarcinese@gmail.com or by phone 724-462-9716 with any interest or questions you may have about the program.
